The Pathway To Discovering Purpose- Monica Kabia

Take a journey with one of our I Am Brilliant- Community Champions and Sierra Leone citizen Monica Kabia. She invites us to walk along her life's pathway to discovering her purpose. The Pathway To Discovering Your Purpose is authored by Monica Kabia, while residing in Sierra Leone. Take a journey with her as she explores her faith and obedience to follow her calling.

Currently, she is leading a young girls mentoring organization she founded in 2019. The proceeds from this book (minus $2 admin fee) will be seeded into Monica Kabia directly towards supporting her organization and community work. Community Girls Advocacy Network (CoGAN) has been in existence since 2nd March, 2019 in Bo, Sierra Leone.

It is a Girl to Girl advocacy network that aims to advocate for and on behalf of girls within their communities, use different mediums in challenging issues and influencing decisions, and organize programs to accomplish a definite change so as to have a community fit for girls.

VISION STATEMENT
CoGAN foresees a community safe for girls, free from all forms of discrimination, and degrading treatment so that they can reach their fullest potential.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of CoGAN encompasses;
✓Empower Girls to be able to stand up for themselves, especially neglected girls
✓Advocating for the rights of girls in their communities
✓Sensitize girls and community head on issues affecting girls and offer advice as to ways to mitigate them

GOAL
The goal of CoGAN is to ensure that girls' rights are protected from abuse, assist neglected girls to stand up for their rights through self-advocacy, and sensitize community members on issues affecting girls.
